How can i get over my jealousy?
I’ve known my bf for a year and a half. We’ve been "official" for 5 months. The reason weve only been together that long is because last year he was the "hot shot" and would flirt with girls and hook up with them and wasnt "ready for a gf." no we’ve been together, i still hold onto how he treated me last year and how much i couldnt trust him because of how he lied to me. since we’ve gone out, not to my knowledge has he lied to me but i still get upset when he hangs out with girls or his buddies WITH girls and doesnt invite me along. and ive told him many times i dont hate his friends and he COULD invite me along. we used to hang out all the time then all the sudden he started hanging out with his friends more and ditching me for them. i realize friends are important but i think he needs to find the balance between us and ive told him that too. he says that i make a big deal out of things and he doesnt want to fight but the only reason we fight is because of how I feel. i think he’s a bit selfish in his actions because honestly i dont think he thinks about how it’ll hurt me or affect me if he does something and he only then realizes it AFTER i or someone else mentions it to him. he has many friends who are girls and hugs them even though he has a girlfriend. he knows that bugs me as well but he does it anyway. sometimes i feel like hes more interested in them than me but in the end of the day he always tells me he loves me and comes back to me and somehow wiggles his way out of things because i know guys hate nagging girlfriends. i’m seriously afraid of losing him because i already did once, even though when he let me go last time he realized he wanted me back. is there any way i can make myself trust him and not freak out or is that ridiculous to ask? any tips..?

First of all you sound like my best friend wife. She didn’t like him hanging out with his friends or his friends that are girls. I seen what jealousy do to you. I was almost run over by a car. the way you are acting you will lose him. what you need to do is talk to him and tell him how you feel. that should take the jealousy away.

If you can’t trust the dude, let him go. You can’t make someone do what you want them to do. It’s a waste of your time and his. If he wants to play the field, you need to get real. You shouldn’t need a guy to be complete. You have to be a whole person yourself. There’s probably some great guys who’d love to meet you, but you’re stuck with this loser player guy. Blow that bum to the curb and start living the life that you deserve.

Now, if after all this advice, if you still decide to stay that and be jealous of this player, then you deserve what you get.
